Introduction of Rotary Kiln

The rotary kiln consists of shell body, supporting device, support device with thrust roller, transmission device, movable kiln head, kiln tail sealing device, coal injection pipe device and other components. The kiln body of rotary kiln is inclined to a certain degree with the horizontal, and whole kiln body supported by supporting roller device, and has the thrust roller device to control the up and down movement of the kiln body. The rotary kiln calcining system produced by “Pengfei” is equipped with technological innovation, in which advanced hydraulic thrust roller device, high precision metering piston pump, high-precision speed control valve and contact graphite block sealing device and other domestic advanced technology are adopted. In order to improve the degree of automation, the kiln head using industrial television to see the fire, process simulation fluorescent screen, calcinations zone with the use of infrared scanner to directly reflect the burning situation of calcining zone on the computer, and the use of these new technologies is intuitive, easy to operate, reliable use. The thermal system was stabilized and the operation rate of the equipment is improved, with a 10% increase in operation rate, a 5-10% increase in production and a 15% reduction in heat consumption compared to the same specification equipment.

Product usage

In addition to calcining cement clinker, rotary kiln is also used for calcining clay, limestone and slag drying, etc. In the production of refractory materials, the use of rotary kiln calcination of raw materials, so that its size stability, strength increases, and then processed into shape. In non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, tin, nickel, tungsten, chromium, files and other metals are sintered and roasted in rotary kilns as smelting equipment for ores, concentrates, intermediates, etc. For example, it is used in aluminum production to roast aluminum hydroxide into alumina; it is used in ironmaking to produce pellets for blast furnace ironmaking; it is used in foreign “SL/RN method”, “Krupp method” for direct reduction of iron ore; it is used in chlorinated volatile roasting method to extract tin and lead. The ore is magnetized and roasted in a rotary kiln to change the ore’s original weak magnetism to strong magnetism to facilitate the magnetic separation. In the chemical industry, rotary kilns are used to produce soda, calcine phosphate fertilizer, barium sulfide, etc. It has the advantages of low energy consumption, low electricity consumption and the utilization of medium and low grade phosphate ore, and has been strongly promoted. In terms of environmental protection, use cement kilns to incinerate hazardous waste and garbage, make waste emissions harmless, use waste as fuel, save coal dust and achieve resource application of waste.
